Introduction
REAN Finance Company Limited is a wholly owned specialized financing subsidiary
of Royal Exchange Assurance (Nigeria) Plc (REAN), the premier insurance company
in Nigeria. The company which commenced operations in July 2005 was established
to fill the service delivery gaps evident in the Nigerian financial service industry
today; and to provide the unique financial service delivery required for the emerging
business environment. It is built on a broad based knowledge and expertise in asset
financing and special situation lending. The company was licenced in April
2005, by Central Bank of Nigeria to operate as a Finance, and Financial Advisory
Services company.

Our Parent Company
Our parent company started operations in Nigeria in 1918 as a representative office
of Royal Exchange Assurance, London (REA). It was then represented by Barclays Bank
DCO. In February 28, 1921, it was upgraded to a branch office. Pursuant to section
396(2) of the then Companies Act of 1968, the company was on December 29, 1969,
reconstituted and incorporated as a Private Limited Liability Company, the Royal
Exchange Assurance (Nigeria) Plc (REAN). The company went public on July 18, 1989
and was duly listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on December 3, 1990.
